We provide a range of services that aims to help older people remain independent in their homes and make the most of life. Our services are for the benefit of all local residents over the age of 50.

It is a confidential and comprehensive service that offers help with many issues relating to older people and their carers : * housing needs * home help * residential and nursing homes * welfare benefits such as Attendance Allowance , Disability Living Allowance and Pension Credit * benefits check * assistance with form filling * Reputable trades people * Leisure and social activities * signposting to other agencies.

Home Support Service
Helping older people remain independent in their homes by providing social interaction opportunities, support and advice on practical matters.
Older people are regularly visited by volunteer befrienders for friendship & social contact and practical help with various daily concerns (including shopping).
Transport
We have two specially adapted minibuses and provide transport for all our clubs. Please phone the office for all transport enquiries on 01737 645636.
Shopping Trips & Social Outings
We provide outings regularly on Mondays and Thursdays. Please phone the office for a copy of the current programme.

Shopping Trips for the Frail & Housebound
Wheelchair users and frail older people are taken to local supermarkets every Tuesday afternoon to do their own shopping. “It is so nice to be able to look at the shelves and choose what you want” is a comment by a lady who was able to go out and do own shopping for the first time in two years.
COMPUTERS- IT/Internet Learning
You can have a chance to learn how to use computers at your own pace, send emails, use webcams and send pictures to your family and friends.
Every Tuesday 1.30 – 3.30 p.m. and Thursday 2 – 4 p.m. at the Merstham Centre.
